Nusa Penida, The Other Side of Beautiful Bali (8-11 December 2012)

Nusa Penida is one of 3 islands in Southeast Bali. There are many way to  go there, from Sanur and Padang Bay by fast boat for high price and flexible  time. But i take the cheap one, from Padang Bay by ferry. They have 2 ferry and go one time per day, both Padang Bay - Nusa Penida (1pm) and Nusa Penida - Padang Bay(12am). But better if we go to harbour at morning to make sure that we will get the ticket (some articles said many people cheated about ticket). We start from  Denpasar at 8am, arrived around 9am at Padang Bay Harbour and buy ticket for 2 people  and 1 motorbike, cost 53k IDR. (Our plan is just 2D1N in that island, so we prepare 120k IDR each person.) Some police will checked if u come with vehicle, so prepare the car/motorbike paper and driving license. But the ferry will start at 1pm (passenger must be there one hour before), so we still have 3 hours and decided to go to a small beach, not far from there.

Bias Tugel Beach
There are 2 beaches near Padang Bay, before enter the harbour, can turn left to Blue Lagoon, but we choose turn right to Bias Tugel. The last one is small but very nice with clear water and white sands.
Bias Tugel Beach, small beach near Padang Bay Harbour
If waking on the rock in left side, we can see a small pool from the hole of coral, very nice.
Clear water at Bias Tugel Beach
This is the view of beach from left side:

Keep going to the left side of the beach and then u can see the ship traffic of Padang Bay Harbour:

After take some pictures, we swim and then just sit under the tree because very hot. At 11.30 we leave this beach, try to looking for another beach but just found a river and village. So we comeback to the harbour and waiting for the ferry with another passenger. The only foreigner is just my friend, Freddy from Hungary, and a couple of Russian. But many Balinese people wear a suit for pray, also want to go to Nusa Penida because there is a famous and holy temple in that island. We buy a big bottle of water, 4000 IDR because before we just have small one.

We didn't get any seat (maybe too many passenger), so just just go to the top without seat and roof, very hot! Not so many things to do, just eat some cookies and browsing about Nusa Penida. Browsing?? Yeah, we didn't prepare what to see there :P Usually it will take an hour on the sea. Half hour first was hot, but after that changed to cloudy and windy. We decide to sleep and then arrived around 1pm.

Welcome to Nusa Penida
Freddy found an article about going around this island, so we followed that route. First go to petrol station, go to East from harbour, but unlucky the petrol finish.(There are two petrol station in this island, the other one is near Toyapekeh.) We bought petrol in the bottle, little expensive but better than nothing (11k IDR). And then keep going to the East, looking for a cheap home stay written in article. All the way we can see seaweed farming, but we didn't  take picture of that, so i put picture from my friend, Pasha. He came at April 2012.
Colorful sea from the hill (Pic by Pasha)
Seaweed farming (Pic by Pasha)
And then we stop somewhere to asked about that home stay. But people said that we take wrong direction. That article said "Go to East about 9km, and the home stay called 'Tentrem', near the-only-one Mosque in this island". The fact, the-only-one Mosque is at the west side from harbour!

So we just keep going to the East, in a junction with sign, we choose turn right and then go up. We just follow intuition in every junction (we passed about 3 junction) and then found a village (called Pelilit) and try to asked local people. He told me a route to go to the beach near that area. We tried, not a good road and must stop somewhere because motorbike cannot go more far. And then we walking to sea side and saw a small beach, Atuh Beach.

Atuh Beach

Go down to Atuh Beach
Atuh is a nice beach, i saw some pictures of this place long time ago when start to thinking about traveling to Bali. There is a big rock, like a small island in front of the beach, i think this is a part of the hill in right side where we go down.

Freddy took many pictures

I like this beach, beautiful and none here. But it's almost dark, we must go to looking for food and place to sleep. There is no more choice, come back to the hill where we leave motorbike, not so easy way and sweating a lot.
This is the view when we go back to the hill :
We go back to Pelilit and found nothing. So we decide to go back and buy a big bottle of water (6000 IDR, little more expensive) in small shop. Freddy said that we must go to Tanglad to reach the other places. And then we go back to a junction, where we must turn left to go to Tanglad. But we met some people and asked them about the route. And then a guy, Wayan, offering his house to stay because it's already dark. At the first time, he said we need to pay for that, 50k for one night. And i said, "No thanks. We will go to Tanglad." But after that he said, "No just joking, u can sleep in my house for free", yay!! Before go to his house, we must buy some instant noodles (8000 for 4 instant nooddles) because he didn't have any food at home. After arrived at his house, Cemlagi village, the first thing that we must do is take a bath. In this island is hard to get water, usually they have Water Well, a big hole to get water. So we must take water from the well first (little exercise) and then cleaning our body.
Our first meal at Nusa Penida
Freddy eat noodle so fast :D
After finish with noodles (not full yet :P), go back to the well near bath room (separate from the house building) to brush out teeth. But when we take water from the well again and check with lighter (dark at night), we found some tiny worm, OMG!! So Freddy take clean water in the bottle and use it for brush our teeth. We were tired and try to sleep early, but inside is too hot. Freddy decided to sleep in gazebo outside, and i still inside the room. Slowly fall asleep and wake up around 7 in the morning.
Freddy sleep outside because hot
Not so easy to make him wake up, need to do it many times. We start the second day with brush our teeth with clean water (again) and instant noodles (4000 for 2 packs) for breakfast (again!). We asked Wayan to fill our bottle with clean water to drink.

Almost every woman in this island making a special woven fabric, called Cepuk, they have their own manual machine.

Before go, we take some pictures with his small family :
Freddy and the Wayan family at Cemlagi Village
Freddy, Wayan and Me
Wayan also prepare to go to ceremony, Freddy asked to take picture with him.

Our next destination is the other beaches and waterfalls, we comeback to the junction where we met Wayan yesterday and then turn left to go up to Tanglad.
View near Cemlagi at morning
But before that junction, Freddy realized that he lost his sunglasses. So we comeback to Wayan house to asking about that. Wayan already gone, his wife try to call him by phone to ask. She said someone stole it yesterday at junction when we bought noodle. (I thinking hard, "If he known someone steal it, why he let them do that??") Ok, we go back to that small shop to asking. But when we just arrived, a young girl come out and said "My Mom is not here!", so strange, I didn't ask any question. And then i tell her about our situation, and she keep said, "I don't know, My Mom is not here". Hhhh... Freddy fell so bad, because he need that sunglasses for driving motorbike.

Anyway, we can do nothing, so keep going to Tanglad direction. On the way we stop to buy petrol, 1 bottle (2 liters) is 12k IDR, expensive! (In petrol station, 'Premium' is just 4500/liter). But the owner of shop can speak English and then we asked about beach and he tell us some direction.

Tanglad is one of high place in Nusa Penida, surrounding by many small hills.
Drive this Scoopy around Nusa Penida
Local people
And then we need to go down to the sea side, road is not so bad but quite small, just enough for one car. This is the view when we go down, we though that the beach is near that big rock.
View from the hill
Big Rock from the hill (Pic by Freddy)
Before the beach, we past a small village and asked about the beach, because there is a junction. They told us, just go straight and then turn left at a field. From here road is different, just from soil but good condition and enough for one car. In the end of this road, there is a temple.
Temple before Suwehan Beach
Suwehan Beach
So we just walking beside that temple, but where is the beach?? I remember about yesterday when we go to Atuh Beach, need to go down from a hill. And it's almost the same but harder. For Freddy it's easy, but not for me! I'm scared of high place, my legs was trembling. I almost give up but also curious, so i decided to keep go down.
My legs was trembling here
Blue water waiting for us
In the middle of route, there are some natural spring, i think many people take shower here. Water is so clear, it's perfect to cleaning body after beach.
Natural Spring in a cliff
View from natural spring
And this is the beach, not so small and none here, perfect!
Peeking Suwehan Beach
Finally we come to the beach, Suwehan, i don't know what that means. Some friend said it's look like Dreamland Beach, one of the famous beach in Bali. But i think it's completely different! Not easy route, none here, no building,  and no need to pay of course :) We feel like it's our private beach.

Nice rock at Suwehan Beach (Pic by Freddy)
We cannot stay longer there because at day time it was very hot, almost no place to hide from sunlight, and we were hungry! So we decided to leave this nice beach and almost forget the way to go up because the route is doesn't look like a road. At natural spring we washing our body from salty water, very fresh and clean water.

We also washing t-shirt (and then wear again :P) and put water from the spring into the bottle. Freddy have some special pil to make it possible to drink. It will save our money and not so easy to find shop who sell big bottle of mineral water. We comeback to a junction where we curious, try to go there and thinking maybe we can go to see the big rock. But after few minutes, we met some people, asked about direction and maybe they sell some food. But they don't have any food, and this road go to Atuh Beach. That means, if we go straight from Pelilit, we will come to this place. Ok, we can try next time.

Acording to Freddy's map, we need to go back to Tanglad, then Batukandik and then can reach the waterfall in Sebuluh. But we decided to take different road, not comeback to the hill where we go down before. We were so hungry at that time, but everytime we asking about "Where is the place who sell food?", people always said "None" :( So we decided to buy cheap bread, 3000 IDR). On the way we saw an unic building, we stop to take pictures and ask about direction.
Kitchen in Nusa Penida (Pic by Freddy)
The road is almost the same with before, we go to high place again, very nice view. We can saw the highest place in this island, Mundi Hill (529m), in the middle of the island, but we didn't go there.
On the way to Batukandik (Pic by Freddy)
From Batukandik, we go down tu Matumadeg, and then asking people about waterfall. Someone told us if there are 3 waterfalls in this island, Seganing, Peguyangan, and i cannot remember the last one. But the article said Sebuluh Waterfall, and then the guy said, Sebuluh is the name of area. So we choose to go to Sebuluh. On the way, we found a 'warung', they have sign with some menu, but not ready, hufftt!! But not far from that warung, we entered a village and found a warung again, behind a 'bengkel' (motorbike service). They sell 'nasi campur', rice with vegetable and a piece of chicken, 8000/portion. Portion is too small for Freddy but enough for me. We also asked about the waterfall, and they said "From here straight and then turn right in a junction, but the route is hard and far. Also there is a natural pool, just go straight and then turn left in another junction, this one is easier.

Temeling Natural Pool
We decided to visit the natural pool first, just like what they said, go straight, turn left, and there is a sign, turn left again. Wow, this is the first place with sign, must be touristic place. From parking area, the sign is 300m to natural pool, it's not far and easier than previous place i think. we walking down, and just follow the main road, beside a river. Situation here is different with another places in Nusa Penida. Usually dry and hot, but here feel like in a jungle. We keep walking and curious where is the place, or maybe we took the wrong way? And then we found a small building, beside a place that looks like want to build a big house. "Who want to build house here?" They also took some white sands, must be a beach near.

We keep go down and then Freddy choose to turn right, i choose turn left. I found stairway but stop somewhere, broken. Looks like this stairway is used to be a way to go to the beach. Freddy call me, he found the natural pool. Freddy come to me, and he tried to go down to the beach, but not easy. So he comeback and just take picture.

Broken Stairway near Temeling Natural Pool (Pic by Freddy)
We come to the natural pool, i like the road beside cliff here, i didn't asked but Freddy take picture of me :)
Cliff before Temeling Natural Pool (Pic by Freddy)
As usuall, there is a temple in every nice place in Bali. Yeah, Nusa Penida is still in Bali Regency.
Temple of Temeling (Pic by Freddy)
So, the pool is separate for male and female. For female, there is a small (not natural) pool (just like a pool for fish :P), and spring water come from a hole below the cliff.
Not natural pool, for female (Pic by Freddy)
And the real natural pool is for male, big hole (looks like deep) with clear water.
Real Natural Pool for male (Pic by Freddy)
Temeling Natural Pool
Freddy want to try it, but we still have many places to visit. So he said: "Next time i'll jump into the water here!" We comeback to parking area, i feel so tired when comeback. We met some teenagers, looks like local people bring towels. And rain start, we use the dry teak leaf as umbrella. Im walking slowly, but Freddy fast as usuall. We wait in parking area until rain finish, and then go to the waterfall. But in my mind, im still curious about "How can they have waterfall in this dry island?"

Seganing Waterfall
We comeback to the junction where we must turn, keep going until found another village. We asked a woman in a small shop, about the waterfall, and she said just turn left in a junction near field. There is no sign, road finish somewhere, became very small but Freddy still want to go with motorbike. But road became bad, so we leave motorbike and just walking about 200meters. There is a open air place, looks great for camping and nice few.
Nice Rock (Pic by Freddy)
Temple on a cliff (Pic by Freddy)
But where is the waterfall?? Next route is go down to the sea (as usuall), but it's the most hard i think, that's why people said it's hard. Before it was rain, little slipery, so i take off my sandals and slowly go down, hold the cliff wall. Actually there are some fence from woods, strong enough, but i cannot believe it 100%.
I'm realy scared (Pic by Freddy)
Wood Fence help people to go down at Seganing Waterfall (Pic by Freddy)
This is the cliff where we tried to go down, quite high (Pic by Freddy)
The road became more scary, i decided to stop here, even im curious. And then Freddy keep go down but leave all the stuff with me, except his camera. He even leave the motorbike key, just in case something bad happend. Im really scare, "I don't want to go home alone, Fred!"
Freddy ready to go down with his camera
Im waiting for him for few minutes, look at my worried face :
Freddy leave me alone with his bag
I'm waiting for Freddy
I feel boring to sit, i try to walking (not far) and take pictures.
The cliff at right side, there is a temple on the top
And i saw him, very small with grey t-shirt.
View of Seganing Waterfall from the cliff
Finally he comeback with some pictures.
What a scary road! (Pic by Freddy)
So... this is the waterfall?? Ok, WATER FALL from a hole below the cliff into the sea. LOL.

When we comeback to the top of cliff (easier than go down), the sun is almost hide, need to go and looking for place to sleep tonight. But we curious about the temple on right side, we tried to go there. It's already dark when we found it. We asked some people at the last house before temple, "Is there any place to sleep here?" The first person said, there is a house of foreigner, not far from here, maybe they have place for us. And then come a guy with motorbike, he offering his house, just few meters from that house. Yay!! the guy has tattoo, but very nice. His wife is a woman we met before, when asked in a small shop. They already married more than 10 years but didn't have any child.
Mini  kitchen and garage
Second dinner, noodle again!
We start the third day with take a bath and breakfast, she cooked noodle with fish, yummy! And then we walking to the temple, they said just follow the electricity cable.

The temple is not so special, small and white, but the view from here, amazing!
View from the temple (Pic by Freddy)
We don't have enough time, today is the last day to go around, tommorow we must go to the harbour in the morning to get the ferry ticket. Yesterday i talking with the owner of house, i asked about another places to see, and he recomended Peguyangan waterfall. Hmm...im curious is this real waterfall?? Scary route again?? Lets see.

Peguyangan Waterfall
We almost missed this amazing place. So yesterday when we asked people in Batumadeg, one of them said about 3 waterfalls here. We choose Seganing, and missed peguyangan. So we must comeback to Batumadeg, asked people in the same place, go to another junction. At the end of route, there is a blue building, they take water from the waterfall, that's why they build long stairway. Yeah, it's easier than yesterday, but im still scared of high >.<
One of the stairway (with hole) to Peguyangan Waterfall (Pic by Freddy)
Another stairway, a hole in pipe spraying fresh water from the spring (Pic by Freddy)
Finally we arrived, but where is the waterfall? There is a pool, with some people (one foreigner and the other local teenager). This water looks clean, because come from spring.
Pool in Peguyangan Waterfall (Pic by Freddy)
Freddy try to go to another side, there is another pool, smaller but natural one. We come in the pool for few minutes, very nice because the sunlight still behind the cliff, not hot.
Natural pool and the sea (Pic by Freddy)
And then Freddy show me where the water fall down, he tried to go down, and asked me to take pictures.
At the first time im scared, looks like high, full of water, and slipery. But Freddy said this is not as hard as it's look. Ok, i'll try.
Can i go down? (Pic by Freddy)
Hahaha..help me (Pic by Freddy)
Yeah, It's not so hard, and 3 more natural pool, i like the last one.
The last and biggest natural pool in Peguyangan (Pic by Freddy)
What a fresh natural pool! (Pic by Freddy)

This waterfall droping every second, make beautiful stones.

Freddy also want a picture
We comeback to the first pool, not natural one. Now none here, time to swim! I like this side, very nice view just to see and or take picture.

(Pic by Freddy)
As usuall, Freddy remind me to go, i always want to stay longer in every amazing place of this island. We must go up trough the stairway again, not easy for my knee after trekking for 3 days. Freddy didn't forget to take picture from this spring, but still put the pil, just for make sure even im not scare to drink this clear water.
Stairway at Peguyangan waterfall (Pic by Freddy)
We comeback to the Seganing direction, and then looking for a nice sandy beach which Freddy found in Google Map. Met the woman (who we stay with them lastnight), asked for direction, and go. On the way we feel hungry, but none sell food. In a junction we found a small shop, asked for direction to the beach and bought 3 cheap bread (3000 IDR). From this junction just turn left and found a small beach, not so good and imposible to go down.
(Pic by Freddy)
(Pic by Freddy)
About 50 meters after that, the road finish with a temple, we didn't look inside, just comeback and wanna try another route. Honestly my feeling said if there is something before that small beach, because there is small road there. Before the junction where we bought the bread, we met a guy and asked about beach. He said there is a nice beach, where my feeling said before, but not so easy to go down, need special equipment.

Secret Beach
So we comeback, turn right to that road and stop somewhere. Just need to walking few meters, we found a small temple, and then.. This is it! Beautiful small beach, just behind the rock we saw before.
(Pic by Freddy)
What a smooth wave (Pic by Freddy)
Freddy tried to go down, but he said cannot, too slippery and need something to hold. So we just take pictures here, but thinking about come here next time by boat, rent a local fisherman boat. Im forgot about one thing, our simcard is not work in this island, no coverage. Mine is M3 from Indosat and Freddy's simcard is 3, the only one operator which work good here is Telkomsel. So we cannot looking for more information in internet, but his GPS still work. But here, in this beach i got signal and call a friend just to say we are in good condition and found so beautiful places. Nothing else to do, we are hungry and very hot here.

We comeback to the junction where we bought tht bread and asked a guy there. He said if turn left no more road, just go to a village, if want to go to Penida beach/ Cristal bay, need to go to Sakti, and then turn left. But Freddy's GPS show is there is a road there, maybe small and bad. So we follow what the guy said, comeback to a junction with sign Toyapekeh turn left, follow the road until big t-junction turn left.

Penida Beach
This is the most popular beach in this island, but for us, it's just usuall (after seen the other beach). I donno why people call it Cristal Bay, doesn't looks as amazing as cristal for me. But there is a small island, remind me to Tanah Lot, because also there is a temple. But need to rent a boat to go there, too far to swim, and i cannot swim :P The sands here is not white, little dark because mix with some black sands. Some fast boat come here from Nusa Lembongan. So many tourist come to Nusa Penida from Nusa Lembongan just for this beach? hmm...What a pity!
(Pic by Freddy)
It was so hot here, we walking to the right side, there are some gazebo surrounding by coconut trees. Some people do massages here, im curious how much.
(Pic by Freddy)
(Pic by Freddy)
And then we try to go up, there is a stairway, half broken but still possible to pass. This is the view from right side.
The route stop somewhere, nothing special, so we go down and go to the left side of beach.
(Pic by Freddy)
In left side, water come from a river, some local kids learn surfing here. But when we want to swim, water from the river became bigger and dirty. We dicided go up to the hill, also there is a stairway here. But nothing speacial again until we met 2 guys and they tell us if there is a small beach behind this hill, but some foreigner there.
(Pic by Freddy)
(Pic by Freddy)
There are six foreigner here, 1 guy from Cesch Republic, a couple of Russian who we met at harbour before (they still remember us), and i forget about another people. We try to swim, but im scare because the waves is too big for me, so we just talking with the other tourist. The Cesh guy have a resort here, so usually he guiding some people who stay in his resort. He said there is another small beach if we cross one more hill, but similar and not good road. He also telling about the temple before the nice beach, from outside looks similar with another temple, but inside is funny. This temple is intended for mechanic, they have building like a car. Name of this temple is Pura Paluang. After talking about many things, we all comebcak to Penida beach, and we go to Toyapekeh. Also there is another temple, 'Goa Karangsari', this temple is inside a cave(goa in Indonesian Language), but sometimes need to pay around 15k, sometimes no need to pay.

We meet many cars here, so different with the other part of this island. Toyapekeh is a small harbour (can go to Nusa Lembongan from here), and the only one mosque in this island is here. That means the 'Tentrem' homestay is here. We found a place to eat, 'Soto' with rice is 8000/portion, for me enough but im sure if Freddy still hungry, that's why i give him little part of mine. After eat, i asked about that homestay, just go to harbour and found it. The owner is outside, i try to asked about the price. She said 50-60k for local, but 90-100k for foreigner. And i asked again, what if one foreigner and one local like us? She said in the middle, can be 70-80k/night. But in the article, said that it's cost 5000/night, maybe very old article, or forgot to put one more zero :P We have no more money, better if looking for nice local people who offering their house like before.

And then we go back to Sampalan, the harbour where we came before. On the way to sampalan, also there are many seaweed farmer, but also many places to eat and some places to stay. We found the other petrol station of this island. We already bought before, but better if make it full because price here is normal. From Sampalan we go back to the east direction, like the first day, and go to the temple inside cave. Yeah we passed it at the first day, Goa Giri Putri, located in Karangsari. From parking area, we go up by stairways and meet 2 guys. One of them said need to pay 30k for enterance, but i said someone told us before if they payed 15k. the other guy said, ok just 15k, can go inside and take pictures. And Freddy told me if he don't have more money. Im shock, i think before he said have 30k, but just 3000 IDR, hahaha.. And i just have 66k IDR, 53k for ferry ticket tommorow, and 13k left.  Another people come with special suit for praying, i try to asked a girl, she said no need to pay for praying. Ok, next time i'll come with some suits for praying :P

So what else to do? Freddy said he still curious if there any other beach before Atuh. We comeback to the East, but in a junction where before we turn right, now we turn left. But this road also going up, and we found a nice house. Freddy said, "This is our house tonight!", so confidence :D But when i try to go closer, i saw inside of that house, very nice. There is a living room with short table, and sea view. But the owner come from inside, old woman with glamour make up. She said stay here with husband, and finish conversation with close the door :( We keep doing up and found a guy, asked is there any beaches near here. He show us a sea side and say, Atuh beach. But the rock is different with the rock we saw before, is there another Atuh Beach?? He also said, there is another beach here, can go with small road.

We try that road, but this road became more bad and smaller. In the end of the road, there is a beach in right side, but not sandy beach. So we decided to go back to the good road, and looking for place to sleep. This is a picture i took with my phone camera, not as good as the real, but enough to remember.
Not easy to go back, we need to push motorbike in a very bad road. And before good road, there is a small village and i try to asked is there any place to sleep? A guy said, in Sampalan. Hmm..Why always Sampalan? And then i asked is ther any place like gazebo to sleep? And then he asked his friend, we wait for few minutes. And then he said, u can stay in my friend place, just follow him.

I cannot remember name of the guy who offering the last house, and also the name of his village. He give us his room, small but looks nice.

When Freddy take a bath, he said "But we have nothing to eat here, u can buy noodles in small shop. Or just give me money, i can go there to buy for u." I give him 10k, and he bought 3 instant noodles and 2 eggs, also cooked for us. After eat, we try to sleep, but cannot because too hot. Freddy sleep in another room with fan, and im still sleep in his room.

I wake up about 6am, im scare if we cannot catch the ferry, because we just have enough money for ferry ticket and 7000 more. After take a bath, we asked one bottle water from the water well, and then put the pil into that water. After asked direction, we go to the 'other' Atuh beach. Why i said other? Because the rock is different, but people said also Atuh.

Atuh Beach, from the left side.
We must left motorbike at the end of good road, and walking. The father of the owner house lastnight told me if the trek is easy, yeah, it's true. And then, slowly and closer, we saw another rock. Yeah, this is the same Atuh beach, but from left side.
Batu Abah, behind the rock of Atuh beach (Pic by Freddy)
Rock of Atuh Beach from left side
At the picture above, can see if there is a road to go down to the beach, but we don't need to do it. Maybe next time because looks easier from here. Im also curious about the route if start from Cemlagi village, the first house we stay.
Atuh Beach from left side
Freddy want to keep walking, i follow him but lazy because this grass little painfull to legs, i decide to take pictures and just eat the fruits here.
Funny, almost all the trees on this hill turn left like this:
What kind of tree? I call it 'Duwet', i eat a lot when i was young in my home town. And we can found it almost everywhere in this island. There are many kind of  'Duwet', i tried many times in this island since few days ago, and the biggest is the most sweet. If u want to try, find the biggest and the most dark, it will be sweet. But don't eat too much, because ur tongue will turn purple and feel little thick.
One more fruits that easy to find here is 'Jambu Monyet'. 'Jambu' is a kind of fruits like guava, but this one don't have seeds inside, but outside and it's called cashew. And the word 'monyet' means monkey, i donno why can be like that. Is this tasty? Depends, usually if color turn red is ripe enough, but still not so sweet. But after some process, the nut is tasty.
Freddy comeback with this picture, he went to the cape of this hill :

Time is still morning, about 8am, but nothing else to do, better if we make sure about ferry ticket first. On the way go back to Harbour, we saw a beautiful view of Agung, the highest mountain in Bali.

After arrived in Harbour, we bought ticket and charge phone, connection is better here. Freddy need to check email from the company where he want to work. And then we try to go to market, hope can buy something with 7000 left :P Yeah we got a 5000 rice with vegetable and fish, and also 2 small bread. Freddy said it's ok, petrol still enough until Denpasar. We also still have enough water, we use it for washing hand and drink.
After eat, not full but better than nothing, we walking around the harbour, waiting for the time to cross the sea. This is one of 2 ferry who served route Nusa Penida - Padang Bay.

The other side of harbour, many small fisherman boat. The sands is white and water is clear, looks nice for swim but we don't want it.

Around 11 am, sound of siren came from harbour, sign for prepare to go inside the ferry. We met the Russian couple again and just say 'Hi!'. Not so many people here, less than when we come before. So we still have place for sit, an hour and boring. After arrived in Padang Bay, Freddy asked me to drive because police will check it. His license is for car, but some 'stupid' police doesn't know about that. Few meters after harbour, Freddy drive again and we arrived at Denpasar safety.
