Bedugul, Gitgit, Sekumpul and Lovina (1st March 2013)

Im hosting a bothers from USA, Ford and Casey Quarterman. So i showing them some of my favorite places in North Bali. We come from Penatahan, a village where im living, heading to the north. Passing the Bratan Lake, stop by monkeys, and the Gitgit Cascade waterfalls. Keep going to the north and then take a route to Sekumpul Waterfall. Back to the north, stop by the black sands beach, Lovina, and back home. We got a chance to watch cock fighting as well.

On the way to the north, surrounding by villages, rice fields and mountains.

Stop by the lake, can read more about Bedugul area with 2 other lakes in this post.

Feeding and playing with the wild monkeys:

Gitgit Cascade Waterfalls
There are some waterfall in Gitgit area, i been almost all of them, and i think this one is the most beautiful.

Sekumpul Waterfalls
I've been there in January(here the full story), i took the shortcut from Gitgit which is so bad road. So this time i decided to take easier but farther road.

To reach the second area, harder than the previous time i been. There is a difference rocks in the river and harder current. I have to jump, but lucky i have 2 strong guys to help me.

On the way back, there are many motorbikes parking beside the road, we are wondering what they doing. Yeah, cock fighting! It's still a tradition in Bali to do gambling by cock fighting. The competitor just men, the woman selling foods.

Look at the knife! Yup, they tight a sharp knife on the foot of the cock, cos the loser is the one who die first. For sure it will be a bleeding show, i can't watch it.

Black Sands Beach for the end:

Most of the pictures taken by their camera.
Thank you so much for the nice day tour :)
